I've struggled with digestive issues all my life and they worsened after having my second daughter. Family Consultations
Family Consultations
It’s hard to avoid unhealthy junk food when the pantry is stocked with chips, soda, and deserts, which are technically only “for the kids or for your spouse.” Become much more effective – schedule a family nutritional consultation.
Teaming up with those in your immediate family is a great way to get the support you need. Your nutritionist will work on nutritional family behavior modification and while not as extensive as the individual consultation; each family member will get a personalized nutritional assessment.
This is a great option for whole families or couples.
Group Seminars

MTVAC’s group nutrition programs are a great way to educate yourself on fundamental nutritional topics. The talks are enhanced by educational workshop activities. Participants will be engaged at these interactive workshops where in depth information on a variety of topics is given. Valuable take home materials enhance the learning experience.
Groups range from high school athletes, post-partum Mom’s groups, adult tennis teams, and elementary school children. At MTVAC we also provide a f ree introductory nutrition seminar to all members and prospective members.
We periodically hold an 8 week workshop series, topics include:
- Losing unhealthy weight
- Regaining energy
- Handling blood sugar problems.

We are almost half way through the Corporate Nutrition Program here at Van Metre headquarters, and I wanted to let you know what a positive experience it has been for everyone that has participated.
You provide great insight into what we should eat and drink, and you explain it well to the participants in the program. I have noticed that even though I am not eating less, I am losing some weight because I am making better choices. Also, I do not feel that sense of hunger that many people experience when they are on a “diet.”
I am seriously considering making this program a requirement for all of our employees. If they implement the dietary recommendations you make in the meetings, they will feel better and have more energy for work and for their personal lives.

I would like to express again the team's appreciation for your time in talking to us about the importance of good nutrition. Your interactive lesson on making better food choices not only before and after practice and regattas but in every day life was easy to understand, informative and very relative for today's teens.
Our team coaches also enjoyed your presentation, especially the chart giving suggestions on more healthy meal and snack options. I have since heard one team member ask another if the cheese puffs she was eating grew in nature and another two athletes comparing the nutrition aspects of sport drinks. These incidences show me that not only did you reach these teens but they have taken what you have said and started to integrate it into their lives.
